Work Experience

Global Cyber Defense Incident Handler

June 2025 - Present

● Develop Python and PowerShell scripts for conducting log analysis to detect anomalous file events in on premises and cloud servers

● Coordinate with business information security officers when their domains are compromised and utilized in phishing campaigns

● Monitor global security incident event management platform and rapidly respond, contain and remediate critical security incident

● Communicate daily with global SOC teams to ensure successful handover of incidents during shift change

Cyber Warfare Officer

January 2019 - Present

● Plan cyberspace operations with state entities to ensure the security of government information systems

● Deliver PowerPoint presentations to 15+ soldiers to brief a mission or task given by a supervisor

● Filter Elastic SIEM network data to identify security anomalies and breaches to assist in defensive cyberspace operations

● Lead a 14-person Blue Team as the Battle Captain through simulated Advanced Persistent Threat attacks on ICS/SCADA systems

Graduate Research Assistant

August 2023 - August 2024

● Analyzed survey data to determine incentives for family forest owner participation in carbon-offsetting programs

● Developed Jupyter Notebooks with Matplotlib visualizations of data analysis outcomes to provide information and insights to university advisors and professors

● Conducted independent literature review and synthesized different forest carbon offsets programs and protocols

● Produced a Python Flask web application to assist private forest landowners with decision-making by matching them with potential offset programs using a decision tree model

● Utilized Docker technology to effectively integrate the Flask web application into university cloud infrastructure

I have been studying and practicing IT and cybersecurity for the past 5 years. Throughout this time I have learned many things allowing me to produce IT projects and help my family setup their own SOHO networks, networking infrastructure, and security.
